IS YOUR MOVE DATE APPROVED?
Unlike most private residences, your move date will likely have to be approved by building management prior to your move in/out date. Contact your office for details for your specific building.
RESERVE THE ELEVATOR
High rise buildings will typically have a separate freight elevator for moving in/out and will not allow usage of the general elevator. Make sure you reserve the freight elevator for your move.
VERIFY PARKING LOCATION FOR TRUCK
Verify where the moving truck will need to park during the move ahead of time. If your building uses docks, you may need to also reserve a dock as well.
SCHEDULE YOUR MOVE DATE AHEAD
There are several moving parts when coordinating a high-rise move. Make sure you begin the scheduling process early to ensure your desired moving date is approved by both your building and the moving company. Ideally, you would want to have confirmation at least two weeks ahead of your move date.
